New (2nd) surge of moisture moves up by Wednesday morning with main storm system developing. This will be the main storm to impact travel Christmas Eve. Colder air will wrap up into the storm and begin changing rain to snow. Timing and location still to close to call. At this time there is still a good chance that snow will stick late Wednesday into Christmas morning. Below is a forecast from the Euro model, radar and satellite forecast from the latest RPM model at noon Wednesday. A suite of NWS models places the probability of 1 snow accumulation at 50 to 60% in parts of NW Indiana. Stay tuned, again much still to be resolved on the timing and placement of this storm system.
