New Job Construction: Project Manager - CPMPS Industry: Building and Construction Job Type: Permanent Location: City of London, England ROLE - Construction : Project Manager Design & Build - (High End Residential) LOCATION : London PURPOSE OF POST: To project manage the delivery of a very High Class Residential Project with a value in the region of 50million pounds, working alongside key stakeholders (Sponsor, Design Groups, and trusts) to ensure that progress and momentum are maintained to fit in with the overall procurement timetable. This is a lead by the front fast track project and technical ability coupled with exceptional strong leadership qualities. COMPANY - A nationally recognised building contractor with a long established presence in the UK D & B sector. Their portfolio boasts projects up to £50m in value across sectors which include commercial offices, leisure and education. PROJECT - A circa £50m Fast Track High End Residential RESPONISBILITIES - As the Project Manager you will lead the scheme from start to finish reporting into an Operations Manager who will visit the site periodically. You will manage a site team of Construction Managers and have the full support of a commercial team. As the Project Manager you will control the Package Managers on the main construction programme and take a lead on the design management process. You will be expected to report on progress to the client on a monthly basis against key criteria including quality, H & S, progress to programme and key financials. You will also attend regular design review meetings with the clients design team. A strong leader with a talent for negotiation, youll need to be confident leading project teams as well as managing day-to-day activity and big-picture strategy. Considerable experience in procurement, cost and people-management of projects worth £50m and over, a working knowledge of relevant building and planning legislation and a degree level qualification will all be essentials - as will membership to a relevant professional body. EDUCATION -Relevant experience, training & qualifications - ONC, HNC or Degree - Experience in Large Design & Build Projects (High End Residential) -Possesses knowledge of one complex functional or business area -Track record of success in supporting a major business contract, Business Unit or region and/or providing support to a professional function -Good technical knowledge
