Key Responsibilities: *Punctually and proficiently attends and inspects all maintenance requests, defects or health & safety matters submitted to the maintenance department *Administers and repairs any minor electrical, plumbing, painting, decorating, carpentry, mechanical engineering service repairs and IT works as required within set deadlines to maintain safe and working efficient systems all around the hotel *Installs, performs and carries out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks as required *Ensures all progress is recorded in a compliant manner *In collaboration with other Maintenance Engineers and the Security Supervisor, takes responsibility for emergency response to fire alarm, lift faults and any other maintenance failures *Carries out fault finding, maintenance and continuous improvement works and applies fault diagnostic *Attends all repairs and supervises all activities as required *Ensures a responsible presence by remaining mobile around the whole hotel and within all of its facilities in order to proactively and promptly deal with any matters or requests concerning the Hotels general maintenance *Remains observant and proactive towards any maintenance needs or hazards throughout the building in order to preserve the aesthetic condition and safe operation of the Hotel *Always reports any defect or health and safety matter to the Chief Engineer *Keeps updated written records of all maintenance tasks completed, ensuring that all details are clear and accurate *Ensures that all tools and test equipment are in a good and safe working order *Ensures that plant rooms, storage areas and workshops are kept organised, clean and safe at all times *Work in accordance with all hotel procedures and rules as well as all relevant Health & Safety legislation *Works to a shift rota system, in order to provide adequate coverage as required by the hotel and remains flexible to provide assistance to emergencies out of normal hours Key Requirements: This position would suit a multi-skilled, hands-on and hard-working individual looking to develop their career within a top end 5* hotel. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer the candidate must be adaptable, flexible and able to work both independently and with the team, in order to adjust to the day to day maintenance requirements to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition. *We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and motivated individual, ideally someone who has worked in a similar position within the hospitality, travel and tourism industry or in the building services industry. *You will ideally have electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and decorating/tiling skills, and a reasonable working knowledge of stringent PPM of automated plant equipment and general building maintenance. *Strong maintenance, trade and decorating skills. *Must have a strong technical and supervisory background *Knowledge of Air Conditioning *Knowledge in electrics or plumbing and Hotel experience would be advantageous If you feel that you are a suitable candidate please respond by applying to this vacancy or alternatively sending your CV.
