New Job Middleware Messaging Developer - Middleware Messaging Industry: Banking Job Type: Contract Location: England Salary: £0.00 per annum Middleware Messaging Developer required for an initial 6 month contract working for a large financial institution based from home and frequenting the nearest office of the company. As the Middleware Messaging Developer you will be required to be a Senior Architect and Developer of a messaging service bus. The Service Bus will form an integration layer between a number of components as part of an infrastructure cloud orchestration service. The bus will integrate with a web portal, databases (relational and NoSQL), other message buses, rules and workflow engines and web services. Your daily duties will be to: The role will involve defining detailed architectural and technical designs as well as implementation including unit, integration, regression and system tests. The role may also require directing other developers in the team with regards to aspects they will implement ensuring that they are implemented in line with the overall architecture and design. Working with colleagues across geographies will be required along with comprehensive and clear documentation of the architectures and implementations. The development of the Middleware ESB will involve negotiation and design discussions with senior application development and infrastructure IT stakeholders across various levels of the organisation. The results of these discussions will need to be communicated to senior technical IT stakeholders This is an innovative role working on new private cloud technology for my client and will set the strategy for the Middleware ESB being used within the companies private cloud. *Message bus development and messaging standards development *Server side Java development for integrations *Application architecture and design Experience required for this role is: *Java development skills (Server side including JEE) *Excellent experience with development of messaging systems and the definition of messaging formats and standards. *Excellent experience in JMS and messaging platforms (ActiveMQ, HornetQ) *Excellent experience with XML and JSON message formats *Experience with XML technologies (DOM, XPATH, XSLT, JAXB, etc) *Experience with transactional and asynchronous messaging systems *ORM experience and experience with database design and development *Excellent experience designing and developing large-scale applications with scalability and maintainability in mind. *Ability to generate and champion new ideas and initiatives and goes beyond status quo acting as a catalyst of change *Experience with developing against web services APIs (REST in particular) *Experience with continuous integration and release processes *Experience with maven *Experience in working within an Agile project management methodology *Experience with Linux hosting environment is a plus *Web development skills a plus (HTML5, Javascript, AJAX, CSS3) *Rules engineering development skills a plus *Awareness of industry best practices *Proven technical expertise in delivering results and meeting customer expectations *Possess a strong work ethic - team player, creative, passionate and disciplined *Experience working with geographically distributed teams efficiently *Excellent communication skills.
