The first six drivers missing the cut during the consolation(s) will be eligible for the ‘Bull Rush’ with the top two finishers making up the 13th row for the feature. Each position offers a minimum of $300. Joe Winne Memorial Modified Dash for Cash: Modified heat winners transfer directly into a special 5-lap Dash for Cash rewarding the winner with $555. The event is run in memory of former Accord champion and standout Northeast racer Joe Winne, who passed away during Eastern States Weekend at Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway in 2000. ‘King of the Catskills’ Redraw Position: The ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified winner earns a guaranteed redraw position for the Friday, Sept. 20 ‘King of the Catskills’ Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour 100-lap event. The ‘Battle of the Bullring’ winner will only need to start a heat race and is automatically included in the draw of top qualifiers. Bob Hilbert Sportswear Bonuses: Bob Hilbert Sportswear in Boyertown, Pa., will reward the first-, second- and third-place finishers in the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified event with certificates worth $100 toward the purchase of express or custom tees. Art’s Radiator & Shroud Giveaway: All Modified competitors, minus the winner, will be eligible for a drawing to receive a complete radiator and shroud, worth $750, courtesy of Art’s Radiator of Flemington, N.J. The draw will take place following the completion of the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ 51-lap special. Jack’s Used Race Car Parts & More Body Credit: The sixth-place finisher in the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified event will earn a $500 credit toward the purchase of a body from Jack’s Used Race Car Parts in Hurley, N.Y. HigFab Halfway Leader: The leader at the Halfway Mark (lap 26) of the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified event will pocket a cash bonus of $200 courtesy of Jerry Higbie’s HigFab business in Goshen, N.Y. American Racer/Lias Tire Giveaway: Modified drivers finishing 11th through 15th, respectively, in the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ event will be entered into a draw for a FREE American Racer tire courtesy of Lias Tire in Indiana, Pa., the regional supplier for American Racer tires in the Northeast. Shiley Fabrication Hard Luck Award: The ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified Hard Luck Award winner, as selected by race officials and attending media members, receives a certificate for bumpers and rubrails courtesy of Shiley Fabrication in Williamstown, Pa. Rene Downes Memorial Lap: The leader at lap 40 of the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified event collects $150 cash in memory of late car owner Rene Downes, whose No. 40 cars were iconic at Accord and in New York’s Capital District. Behrent’s Performance Warehouse Perseverance Award: The final driver on the lead lap at the conclusion of 51 laps in the Modified ‘Battle of the Bullring’ will receive a $100 certificate from Behrent’s Performance Warehouse in Florida, N.Y. D&D NAPA Award: One driver finishing 11th on back in the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified main event will receive a $500 store credit for D&D NAPA in Highland, N.Y. The recipient will be selected via random draw at the conclusion of the main event. Tim Long’s Big Diamond Speedway Bonus: The highest-finishing regular representing Big Diamond (Pa.) Speedway’s 358-Modified field will receive a cash bonus of $50 courtesy of the speedway’s public relations representative and handicapper Tim Long. S&D Bodyline Bonus: One driver failing to qualify for the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ Modified event will receive a $100 credit for Don Biegley’s S&D Bodyline located in Bath, Pa. The recipient will be decided via random draw. Sportsman Purse Increases: Above All Auto Repair (Highland, N.Y.) and Ultimate Restoration (Danbury, Conn.) have combined to boost the purse for the Sportsman 25-lap main. Thanks to Ultimate Restoration, the winner walks away with a healthy $1,500. Above All Auto Repair has boosted the green money to $100 and posted $100 cash for the Halfway Leader (lap 13) in the main event. Lap Money: Lap money continues to be collected for both the Sportsman and Modified events at the ‘Battle of the Bullring’ event.
