New chapter beginning: I will miss all of you at the gym but Ive made the decision to cancel my Elite membership at Retro in protest to the changes that were made. Im not happy with the gym and soon may cancel my membership there. Its a shame because of how convenient it is and close to my house but there are gyms who actually care about their members and thats the kind of place I want to be in. Im not a shallow person and therefore do not want any part of a shallow gym thats only out to make money off of people. When the gym first opened we were told classes were free and part of the membership, over the past year things have changed and we are now expected to sign in and pay for classes. I think this is an outrage and will no longer be paying an extra $120 a year to take the classes. In addition they started charging a yearly fee even though my mom and I were two of the first people to sign up with the gym. If things continue to get worse I will be taking my business elsewhere.
