Newsletter (7th July 2014) Morning all It is hoped that this will be the first of the twice monthly newsletter posts (there are also plans to email this too) What has been done Over the last couple of weeks we have made adjustments to drops files. The one drop system has been added to some high end bosses, what this means is that when killed at least one good item will be dropped. We have already noticed that some items have appeared in game due to this change. Drop rates on some high end spells have been increased, as some of you know I have always said that fire spells will drop from fire monsters, ice spells from ice monsters, rage from rage monsters etc etc. Admission orbs from foxes have also had a drop rate increase. Spells have also had an adjustment, they are not there yet but changes have been made and we will continue this over the next week. All classes are being looked into( some more then others) New caves have been added (we understand that players are not happy about Hell being level locked, see below about level cap) Adjustments have been made to Oma drops and Numa drops, Oma is designed as a cash cave and Numa is designed as a leveling cave, both of these caves are not really item caves and where never designed to be so. For those that like quests new quests where added to a number of towns and also BDD. Yes quests do not give as much gold and exp as players would like but again these quests where designed to break the leveling grind of Mir and give players something different to do. What is next At this point in time Sam is working on new skills as well as bug fixing a number of other skills. This is our main focus at the moment. We would like to get skills balanced and right before adding the new ones, also due to the drop rate changes on some spells the rare ones should start to drop once the right monsters are killed. I hope to add more quests, maybe even daily quests and also to have better rewards for some quests (items) and maybe a reward for all players that have completed the current quest line. I also hope to add a new high level quest line with better exp and gold rewards in order to get players to Hell. Lords will be returning soon( with their drop files) Skill crafting is on the way, we are still working on making it so that you have to collect a number of items and also maybe kill a number of monsters, some skill books maybe need to essence of a monster in order to add that monsters magic to a player Example for Rage you may need Essence of Woomataurus. These rare books will drop from monsters but players who only have a few hours a day can craft them but this will not be a process that can be done in a number of days, we are looking at an average of 20-25 gameplay hours in order to collect the items needed to craft a spell. Now the big news The level cap will be adjusted and exp for levels 43+ will be adjusted. The new cap will be 50 or 55 (yet to be decided) So soon you will all be able to visit Hell Do not hold me to this but there maybe some exp pots or exp event in order to help players gain the levels they need. Also players below level 38 will gain a little exp boost when hunting in some caves. All of the above (apart from new spells) are planned to be in game within the next two weeks. New spells will follow soon after, we want to get everything else right before added them to the game. The Chronicles Team
