Next Week at EBCCS Memorial Day - In celebration of Memorial Day, May 26th, there is no school on this day. Hollywood Comes to East Boston - On Tuesday, May 27th , a production company will be filming scenes from the upcoming movie on the life of Whitey Bulger, starring Johnny Depp. They will be filming on Decatur, Border, and Maverick Streets. However, it will only affect London Street traffic at the intersection of Decatur. I talked to the Location Manager of this project and he assured me that the inconvenience to our school should be minimal. I ask your cooperation by paying attention to police details, which will be controlling traffic in and around the area. Canobie Lake Incentive Trip - Our May Calendar sellers who sold $250 or more have earned a trip to Canobie Lake on Tuesday, May 27th. Ascension Thursday/Second Grade Communicants A mass for Ascension Thursday (Holy Day of Obligation) will be held at 9:00 a.m. in Most Holy Redeemer Church. We will also celebrate with our Second Grade Communicants. The Mass will end with the crowning of the Blessed Mother. All are welcome to attend this special Mass. Second graders will dismissed after Mass. Preparation for 8th Grade Class Night - On Friday, May 30th the 7th and 8th grade students will be dismissed at noon. This is necessary as the teachers and staff prepare for our Class Night Celebration. Thank you for your cooperation.
