Nice beginning of the year: playing with incredible people in so wonderful halls by the way: built as complete art-deco Marseille Opera (2nd Rachmaninov Concerto with Pinchas Steinberg & Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille), Great Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire twice - a beneficiary concert in memory of the WW II soldiers from Moscow Conservatoire (again Rach 2 with Vyacheslav Valeev and Moscow Conservatoire orchestra) and a unique concert with Tchaikovsky no.1 in a real authors version (not the commonly played version issued after the composers death - so without famous bombastic chords in the beginning and cuts in Finale) with legendary Vladimir Fedoseyev and his Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra! This was the 1st performance of the Tchaikovskys last version in Moscow since composers times, musicologists say. And now Im in wonderful warm Taipei where I played a recital with Hammerklavier, Corelli-Variations some more Rachmaninov and Scriabins Sonata no.2 in a fantastic National Concert Hall, so attentive audience. Really happy with the Adagio today! Next point: Nantes, France. La Folle Journee. Finally Schumann again! (having nostalgy :))
