Nice to see enthusiasm and involvement, but too many more ideas and we could easily become overwhelmed. If there are ideas obviously missing, fine, but turning these ideas into doable and repeatable tasks that are well organized and which do not have anyones heads spinning will be very important for success. For this to gain momentum and be successful, there has to be some well established processes, ground rules and resources. These probably already exist so we should not be reinventing them. The National Office should be the ones directing all next actions, and those who are building momentum must also protect the National Office from a tidal wave of activity. Example, we cannot have every girl scout roller skater in the nation contacting Lincolns girl scout office...multiply that example by every skater that wants to help. It is for this reason that I suggested that brainstorming should stop at some point soon and give National a chance to digest it all. This doesnt mean that others cant contribute. What others can do is to start paring these ideas down into a solid set of recommendations that can actually be accomplished in the next few months, which for many are some of the busiest months of the year. Along similar lines, Ill not be able to do any more updates until late tonight, but I will.
