Nigerians are indeed the happiest people in the world. This is despite the harsh socio - economic environment they find themselves.The World Happiness Report and the indices highlighted are already know indices that the World Bank and UNDP have always used to measure and determine the most developed countries in the world moreso that these are the countries that have always been listed.So the report does not make any sense, because happiness is not measured by some levels of economic parameters, it is emotional and not determined by rigorously computed economic indices and eating okana, drinking palmwine as noted by our brother do not quarantee happiness. Happiness is a meaure of innermost peace expressed in the physical by being able to express some feelings of contentment, pleasure and joy in your current state of affairs and extending same to others thereby quarantee mutual co - existence and good spirit of neighbourliness. That is what happiness is not what the World Happiness Report is telling us.
