No Pads, No School There is school at a village in Kromkuil (Pretoria) near the Tswaing meteorite crater it’s called Rethusitswe Combined school. There is so much poverty in that community. Many girls at this schools, miss school to avoid embarrassing leaks during their menstruation periods. The idea that monthly bleeding is something shameful, polluting, or taboo may also encourage girls to avoid social contact during their period. In order to stem the flow of monthly periods, the women girls use anything from rags, old clothes, toilet paper, cloths or literally anything that can do the job. Or simply stay away from school. With your help I will be donating pads to the school.The pads would also help them maintain a good standard of hygiene while they are in their periods. pads, tampons and other menstruation methods remain unaffordable and inaccessible for this girls. If you want to contribute towards this project please let me know I am planning to deliver this pads to the school on the 22 July 2014, the pads will be handed over to the life orientation teacher who will manage them well.
