No grievance against Mamata: Somen Mitra press trust of india Kolkata, 3 November Dissident Trinamul Congress MP Somen Mitra, who has already announced his intention to quit the party and return to Congress, today said he is doing so because of the style of functioning of TMC leadership and not due to any personal grievances against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. “I have already said that I will leave Trinamul... I will leave Trinamul not because of any personal grievances against Banerjee. She has never disrespected me and has always taken care of my needs,” he said. gokulburman − Trinamul Congress MP Somen Mitra had been toying with the idea of leaving Trinamul Congress but why he is not doing so is not clear. Which auspicious moment he is waiting for? He has expressed his desire to return to his parent body, but it seems to be in impending peril. Is Mr Mitra waiting to see if some one requests him not to leave Trinamul which is much safer for him to return to the parliament once again. However, probably, he stands removed from his seat and no new allotment is in store for him in the Trinamul. Or he is worried about rehabilitation in his old den. In politics, nothing is impossible. New requirements may arise anytime and new pairing may start at any moment. Miss Banerjee did have personal grievances against Somen MItra. If Mr Mitra had stepped down from the post of president of West Bengal, AICC, in favour of Miss Banerjee in 1997, possibly there would not be any Trinamul today. It is well and good if Mr Mitra has no personal grievances against Banerjee. It will be interesting if still she has respect for Mr Mitra and cares of his needs as in the past.
