Nobody made noise when Uhuruto had there homecoming parties from the Hague BY WANJOHI GAKIO- NYAHURURU 27/5/2014 A section of leaders from Nyandarua County are calling upon the government to ban all rallies set to be held by the CORD party in various parts of the country saying that they are a recipe for chaos. Led by Rurie ward MCA Wahome Kamoche, the leaders recalled that such rallies were held across the country after the 2005 constitutional referendum and culminated to the bloody 2007 post election violence. “These leaders must be stopped immediately or else they will plunge this country into chaos even before we heal the scars of the infamous 2007 post elections violence,” he said. Kamoche said the leaders are hiding under the guise of devolution to propagate their own agenda of spreading hate and against sections of Kenyan citizenry and hence should be arrested and prosecuted. The leaders were speaking yesterday at Mukindu village in Olkalou constituency during the burial of a local Catholic Church leader Jane Wairimu Githiga, 67, who died after a long illness. The leaders observed that the clamor to impeach President Uhuru Kenyatta over Anglo Leasing scandal payments is ill motivated, saying that the scandal came up when some of the CORD leaders were in still in office hence Uhuru just inherited its impact from the past regime. “We don’t want to imagine how one can propose impeaching the President when the country is at war with Somalia,” said Kamoche. The leaders at the same time urged the church leaders to join the war against injustice saying they have left the war to politicians and journalists alone. “This war is fought for a good course and hence the clergy should join in, said Kamoche. He at the same time urged all leaders who lost in the last general elections to be contented and support the winners for the sake of development, saying that he had noted with concern that some leaders are fueling dissidence in the country through consistently castigating elected leaders.
