Not Limited To Men - A behavior that stereotypically belongs to men has been abundant amongst my female friends lately. Its not uncommon for men to be friendly conversationalists with their lady friends and then abruptly cut all contact with them once they get a boyfriend. Its this weird social cancer that exists. Its behavior that says, I like you best when youre single and being friendly is my poor mans version of flirtation. Its always been laughable to me when I hear ladies gripe about it happening. Not because it happened to them, but because thats some seriously weak willed and low brow behavior right there. This characteristic change is brought on by the introduction of a significant other. But another change can occur. One, in which, the female friend gets a boyfriend and cuts off all communication with her male buddies. This has been happening abundantly lately. My female friends find a guy and they stop acknowledging my existence. What used to be frequent and friendly banter becomes scarce and they simply carry on as if you were never close. Its stupid. I dont know how many girls I know who seemingly vanish when theyre in a relationship. And I dont know how many only seem to talk to me when Im single. Appropriate and friendly social interactions shouldnt be altered due to ones relationship status. Its primitive and obliterates the ideology that were not all out there just looking to bone.
