Not gna bash any religions, tho thats how some may read it. What im speaking to is intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. If you only do good while on this earth to earn your way into heaven then youre leaving the responsibility of the continuance of the same earth, onto others. Perhaps ;) this is what the powers that be want. Focus on individual rather than the whole and the idea that well as long as I get to heaven then forget everything else. The push for organized religion and IDOLIZING one or a few is detrimental to Mother Earth. When the focus is on religion rather than VALUES (which I see as universal in most) then it makes more room for hatred and war. The VALUES is what we should focus on to form unificiation to save eachother and Mother Earth. Now when you look at spirituality - Spirituality encompasses everything. Every Rock, plant, tree, animal is important as well as every person. Yes even us sinners. The ones who are living the streets, the ones who havent had the tools to get healthy, the ones stuck in survival mode....nope they are not forgotten when we connect in a good way. But some of us who are wandering either give up or are turned away when we seek to learn our traditions. We are even dismissed and ridiculed by our own. We seek spirituality but get our hands slapped or are shamed when we we dont know any better. How are we to have that resurgence and arm ourselves to protect Mother Earth when we think we cant access our traditions? To the ones who are still wandering: you CAN connect to creator WHEREVER you are. Dont know or trust any elders? Keep looking but dont let it stop you from making that connection with creator. Smudge and pray. Such as in Christianity - people dont need the church or institution to pray. An alter is merely a reminder of what is within you.
