Not normally one to share things like this, but I think this presents too good of a point to be ignored: you do not have to be a vegetarian to encourage real change in the farming industry. Factory farms are anathema to the farmer, and they place an incredible moral strain on the farmer who sees this sort of thing firsthand, and has no power to change how the farms are run. My family owns chickens. I think of them as profoundly silly and dumb dinosaurs. But seeing the way these chickens live breaks even my heart; none of Gods creatures deserve this systematic abuse. But I think the most important point is this; compassionate farming isnt just an issue for vegetarians. It should be even more important for those who enjoy meat, that they should should be able to eat meat in good conscience.
