Not such a happy post but we believe awareness can help prevent these individuals from taking advantage of us...so please read this and share. Our dear friend Tracey Palmer wrote: Can you make people aware, the police have been informed. A man tried to gain access to our property this afternoon while my mother in law was in the house with my son. The man parked his white van on the grass outside our house which is strange as we live on a main road in Gossops Green. He knocked and advised that he had spoken to my mother in law husband about moving the meter and needed access to the property. My mother in law doesnt have a husband and smelt a rat straight away. He kept on and on but she refused him entry. Luckily me and my husband were upstairs asleep, well hubby was and I was listening. Before anyone comments about the fact we were in bed he works nights and I start work at 3am. If the man had got past her he would have been restrained by me and hubby but just wanted to make the vulnerable aware of this incident. Crawley Happy Times
