Not that long ago I put out an appeal for financial contributions towards an upcoming building project that we are undertaking in Lovu seaside in Fiji. We will be completing the building of a facility that can be used by the locals as a church and community centre, sizeable enough to accommodate medical clinics, work and life skills training, food and clothing distribution, childrens activities and church meetings etc. The centre, which is built above flood levels will also provide a desperately needed place of shelter for families during times of flooding and cyclones. The cost of the materials needed for this project is around $20,000FJD. I am happy to say that we have raised this money. A special thanks to members of South City C3 and C3 Church Howick for your willing generosity. Next week, a team of 25 people from Christchurch, Howick, Palmerston North and Tauranga will be heading to Fiji to complete this project!! We cant wait. Vinaka
