Notes from the road. Gord. So here we are, after almost twenty years, doing it again. Im amazed at he fact it took us this long to tour western Canada again. Last time I was in Edmonton I was a different person. Edmonton was probably a different place as well and here we are, possibly at the start of the last Spoons tour. But weve probably thought that many times before. Last time out we didnt even know what lay before us. The whole retro 80s thing hadnt even started yet. By the end of that tour, we sure knew. It was some of the best news wed gotten in a long time, thinking our carriers were over, being pleasantly proven wrong. So here we go again. Itll be like attending different high school reunions across the country. One after the other. Wonder what faces Ill recognize. Wonder how well all feel, reliving our shared 80s past. Weve all changed. Twenty years will do that. Hopefully, just not too much. In a few moments well head over to he venue to do sound check. Like a sprinter doing warm-ups before a big race. Actually, more like a marathon, cause well all be running together. The audience and us. Trying to catch up with something wonderful and fleeting from our past. Something weve missed for a long time.
