Nova Menco Gypsy Fusion. This group is also one of my favorite nouveau flamenco bands. I heard them perform live in concerts here in San Diego back in 1999 and 2000. Nova Menco was a San Diego Nouveau Flamenco group. All members of the band were brothers - all originally from Gibraltar. I got to meet with them and struck several conversations with them. Sadly the group split up several years back. What a waste of outstanding talent. One of the band members told me that the split up was over money. The conflict was instigated by the band manager, a lady who was also romantically involved with one of the brothers. They could not see eye to eye and broke up the group. I used to frequent their concerts. I purchased every single one of their CD albums. You can hear a lot of their beautiful songs on You Tube. Just type Nova Menco and you will see. Wherever they are, whatever they are doing, I wish each of them all the best.
