November 20, 1973: During a concert at San Francisco’s Cow Palace, The Whos drummer Keith Moon collapsed onstage after someone spiked his drink with horse tranquilizers. Pete Townshend asks the audience if there are any drummers available ( I mean somebody good!). An unknown drummer,19 year-old Scot Halpin, was brought to the stage and filled in for the final three songs of bands set. Afterwards, he was taken backstage and given a Who concert jacket, which was stolen later that evening.(I Love it Loud! Today in Rock n Roll History)
