November 24, 2014 O GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD! AND HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER! An update from Zion Center for Worship and the Arts... There are, of course, three things: First . We give thanks for each one of you – the privilege of being on this journey through life with you in the fellowship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is one of the greatest treasures we could ever experience. Some of you we see or hear from more often than others, but all of you are in our hearts and are an integral part of our lives. We THANK GOD for you! As the Apostle Paul says, I give thanks upon each remembrance of you. Second . We are still receiving reports of the wonderful things God did in the hearts and lives of those who attended our Summer Worship Arts Conference -Stones, Staffs and Crowns . I have finished listening to and editing the CDs of the recorded sessions and believe they are well worth listening to again, or for the first time if you were unable to attend those particular classes or come to the conference. Please contact Linda or go to zcwa for a list of the recommended recorded sessions. In particular, the session of the Faculty Panel Discussion in response to this year’s question: “What Does Dance Ministry Look Like Today?” is, I believe, a timely commentary from today’s Worship Movement Arts Ministry Leaders for this season. We are also preparing a printed version of this session to be ready in February 2015. If you are interested in receiving a printed version, please let us know. And, Third. Yes, we will be having a January gathering during the time for our regularly scheduled Winter Worship Arts Conference - January 16th and 17th. This year we believe our attention should be focused on Israel with the theme of “I will bless those who bless you.” The Gathering will include teachings, discussions, meals and, yes, lots of Israeli Folk Dancing with Jean Mabry. There will also be dance classes to learn dances appropriate for ministry in Israel and to the Jewish people. So whether you are planning a trip to Israel or would like to go sometime in the future, want to learn more about the Christian’s role and relationship with Israel, are interested in learning how to pray for Israel, believe you just want to learn the basics about Israel (we call this Israel 101), or just want to come for the Israeli Folk Dancing or fellowship - we would love to have you join us! We believe this will be a timely and significant focus for this year’s ZCWA winter assembly. More details will be posted soon on our website. And, We pray your Thanksgiving was most blessed for all of you and your families. (Thank you for being part of ours.) Shalom and Love, Teresa Gardner , D.W.S., Director – Zion Center for Worship and the Arts Linda Sloan , Ministry Assistant – Zion Center for Worship and the Arts
