November 9, 2014 was the 25th anniversary of the destruction of the Berlin Wall in 1989. During Christmas of that year there were two historic performances of the Beethoven 9th Symphony directed by Leonard Bernstein to celebrate the collapse of the wall. The performances of an international orchestra took place in East Berlin and West Berlin. Maestro Bernstein died in October of the following year. I do not expect anyone to watch the entire hour and a half program especially on Facebook. Perhaps you would skip through and watch in various spots the maestro and history in action. Magnificent!
