Now I know that installing a new doorknob when the old holes dont line up to the new knob is reasonably obnoxious. And, after installing the latch and closing the door (effectively locking myself in), Im really pretty disappointed in myself that it took a full three minutes of mild stationary panic and a failed attempt to get the hinge pins out ... to realize that all I needed to do was install the rest of the doorknob (yeah, just attach the round spinny thing) and voila! I was no longer a captive of my pink bedroom! But then again, this was also the kind of day where I set down my glasses, couldnt find them, and had to use an old headache-inducing pair to go around hunting for them. Twice. And also the day I went to Walmart just to buy one more miniscule plastic bin they had plenty of yesterday ... only to find theyd sold out. At two Walmarts. Ha! Seriously grateful for silly first world problems!
