Now, my concern is not whether the Greek system is actually ever fully integrated at Alabama. Frankly, given this article and what it says about the future of sanity in the State of Alabama leads me to believe that the African American students at Alabama need to devote every waking moment studying and preparing themselves for excellence and leadership in society. In these tough economic times, there seems to be a real swing towards racial divisiveness and steps backwards. While, the mirage of power that the fraternity system at Alabama seems to generate in the minds of these young impressionable brats may seem insignificant, we should be mindful that the university of Tuscaloosa has long been a training ground for powerful leaders throughout this State. What is serious about this article is the fact that there appears to be developing a group of future politicians that have no problem establishing racially offensive policies and laws. These students are now less than a generation away from assuming roles in leadership. What is scarier is that these students are supposed to represent the intellect and best of what there communities have produced. This development if true is shameful but surely not just limited to students of UAT.
