Now the last 7 Judgments, the Bowl or vial judgments, do not occur until Revelation 16. In these the people who have the mark of the beast (666) in their hands or foreheads will face Gods wrath to the fullest extent now. The first vial (they are actually called vials in the KJV text) sees people who have the devils mark being plagued with noisome and grievous sores, or boils if you will. If youve ever had a boil you know how painful they can be. The second vial sees the sea becoming blood, and everything therein dying. Now all the fish and sealife is dead now in the sea. The third vial is like the second except that now it hits the rivers and fountains, destroying the drinking water all over the planet. One of the angels praises God for His judgments here. Another one chimes in right after him. The praise that the angel gives God is that the unbelievers shed the blood of prophets and saints and God returned it to them by giving them blood to drink. Now you know of course that no one can actually DRINK blood and the smell of it would be sour for miles around. The fourth vial is poured out upon the sun, and it has the power to scorch men with fire. When this happens there will be intense heat the likes of which has never been seen here. John tells us that even though the sun scorched men with great heat they STILL would not repent of the evils they had done. They only continued to blaspheme God, and did not give Him glory. The fifth vial targets the seat of the beast, and causes a great darkness to fall throughout his kingdom. It says here the pain these people are feeling is so intense that they are GNAWING their tongues. To gnaw something means to bite or nibble something persistently. In other words, this pain was so intense that the people were biting and nibbling on their tongues in pain, yet they still did not repent or give God glory. The sixth vial was poured out on the river Euphrates and it dries up. When this happens John tells us that three unclean spirits that look like frogs all come out of the mouths of the beast, false prophet, and the dragon. The dragon is Satan, the false prophet, well hes self explanatory. The beast is the Antichrist. The devils that inhabit these three unholy entities are now rallying those who have chosen Satan over God for the final battle at Armageddon. In the final outpouring of Gods wrath came voices, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake more fierce than the last one. The great city is divided into three parts and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon receives the cup of the wine of the fierceness of Gods wrath, the islands are fled away and the mountains were not found, John tells us, and there came hail out of Heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent. The men of the earth were STILL blaspheming God for all of THIS. The plague of hail, the Bible tells us, was exceeding great. These 21 judgments comprise the full force of Gods wrath poured out upon the sins of the entire world. We should warn others about these things to come and tell them how they can receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
