OK myself and another concerned citizen contacted the FAA in Birmingham about the CIVILIAN plane violating FAA rules and buzzing the neighborhood at low (under 500 ft) levels. Turns out not only is it not a Military affiliated but its a flight school. So not only is this plane flying low over the houses but there is student flyers involved. Yes the are allowed to do passes over the airfield but they CANT do it over housing that is not in the approach path which my house is not. Here is a portion of the email from the FAA: . Thank you for contacting our office with your concerns. I have the picture and have already contacted the owner. This aircraft is under a lease to a flight school and I will be contacting them this morning. Once again, Thank you for reporting these incidents. If this continues to happen, please record the date and time of the occurrence and call me directly, day or night! Alabama/Northwest Florida FSDO (205) 876-9068 office The picture is not of the plane doing the low level I was complaining about( i cant get to my camera fast enough) about, but it is of the guy. Maybe I am overly sensitive about unsafe aircraft flying during training but if you saw a B-52 crash in-front of you (94 Fairchild) you might get a bit antsy too.
