OK, so i gotta pick some brains here.... Car in question: 1992 Toyota Aristo, 201,000km. -2JZGTE -FMIC -17psi on (HI) boost with Profec B spec II -1st cat delete w/ 3 downpipe, to QTEC exchaust cutout about 13 from rear turbo -MV auto 1.5 shift kit w/ 3k rpm stall converter -boost cut (homemade, so i think it clamps the voltage) -short ram intake kit -torsen LSD PROBLEM: it does the problem randomly, sometimes its fine for like 5 or 6 starts in a row, sometimes, does it every single time i start it...... when i crank the key over, it fires up perfectly fine and idles up to 1200RPM, then drops to 1000, then to 800, then 700,600,500,400,200, then it dies. so i turn it off, and crank it over again, and it fires fine. everytime it does it, the AFR gauge reads under 13, so I know its not leaning out and starving of fuel. this just started not to long ago, I have also had an ongoing issue, where ill be sitting at a light, and the AFRs go off the chart lean, so i just do a little brakestand and get the rpms up to 1600 or so, and it drops the AFRs down to about 13.... then randomly when driving on constant throttle about 2500 RPM, itll start to randomly lean out again, if i STOMP my foot to the floor and hit full boost it leans out and then drops right down to 11 AFR, and is fine for the entire trip. so, i have changed the following in order: -fuel filter to a brand new one -ignition coil clips (as mine were broken due to heat) -spark plugs -ignitor -IACV and cleaned the filter none of that has helped with my issue at all. what the hell can it be, i have heard the ECUs sometime go and cause this issue, is that actually true?
