OK, so lets do a little digging here (in spite of the government blackout barring journalists). On its maiden voyage the train through the worlds first intercontinental tunnel came to a complete halt when passengers hit the Emergency button too many times. All passengers we forced to leave the train inside the tunnel and walk along walkway. Unanswered questions: Why did they hit the emergency button? Was the train or tunnel perceived to be unsafe? If passengers are able to randomly stop the train mid-route and the consequence is that people must exit the train and leave the miles long tunnel under their own power is every inch of the walkway accessible to wheelchair users?
