OLIVER 5YRS (4-2003 TO 2-20-2009) ANNE-SOPHIE 3YRS TURCOTTE (12-2005 TO 2-20-2009) (KB-*Guy Turcotte-Bio Father) CARDIOLOGIST IS ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS TWO YOUNG CHILDREN Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 Anne-Sophie Turcotte, 3, and her brother Olivier Turcotte, 5, found murdered in their fathers Piedmont, QC home February 21, 2009. The cardiologist has been in police custody for the past year, since his two children Olivier, 5yrs, and Anne-Sophie, 3yrs, were found stabbed to death in their parents rented home in the Laurentians town of Piedmont on February 21st, 2009. Guy Turcotte, a 37yr old cardiologist, faces two first-degree murder charges. Turcotte was found lying on the floor after attempting suicide. He had to be transferred to a Montreal hospital for treatment because his colleagues at the Hôtel-Dieu Regional Hospital in nearby Saint-Jérôme couldnt treat him. The mother of the children, Isabelle Gaston, was skiing in Charlevoix the weekend they died. Gaston, an emergency-room physician, was separated from Turcotte at the time. 3yr old Anne-Sophie Turcotte and 5yr old Olivier Turcotte were found by police who had been asked to check on the home by concerned relatives. Police said there were signs of violence on the childrens bodies. They also found the childrens father at the house, alive and in need of medical attention due to an apparent drug overdose, police said. UPDATE: April 30th, 2009 Guy Turcotte killed his children with at least 16 stab wounds each Anne-Sophie, 3yrs, Olivier, 5yrs, stabbed to deathD by their father February 21st, 2009. Guy Turcotte dealt no less than 16 stab wounds to each of his children while they slept, February 21st, in the Piedmont home in the Laurentians. This is the evidence presented by the prosecution against the 36yr old man, accused of the premeditated murder of Olivier, 5yrs, and Anne-Sophie, 3yrs. The cardiologist would then have attempted suicide by swallowing a large quantity of windshield washer fluid. If Mr. Turcotte is convicted, he will automatically be sentenced to life imprisonment without possibility of parole for 25 years. *Guy Turcotte was found not criminally responsable for killing his two precious angles.
