Since forming in late 2010, Tourism has been kicking goals with a main stage show at Splendour in the Grass 2011, support shows with Snakadaktal and Faker and a debut single recorded with producer Stephen Schram (San Cisco - Awkward). Their debut single “Float Away” received airplay on Triple J and Triple J Unearthed as well as receiving positive reviews from Richard Kingsmill and Dom Allesio. Currently based in Byron Bay, The Familiars make full-blooded, guitar driven indie rock. It’s been almost two years since the band wandered into a small venue in Brisbane to play their first show. Since then, they’ve played with cool people like The Basics, Kingswood, City Riots and Sticky Fingers, had their tracks on rotation with FBi and Triple J Unearthed, released an EP through MGM and toured the east coast 3 times.
