ON THE 8th DAY OF CHRISTMAS WE GOT A HERITAGE CENTRE: In 2014 we signed a lease with Armagh Council for the use of the cottage overlooking Acton lake. Quite a view from our front door. We will open at weekends as a canal heritage centre in 2015 and extend a welcome to everyone to visit or indeed to volunteer with us in staffing the cottage. We hope it will generate more support for restoration of the canal as well as giving the visitor a greater insight into the unique heritage of the oldest canal in the country.
