NEW MOTHERS DAY OUT PROGRAM OPENING IN YOUR AREA. Need one or two days a week to yourself, Mothers Day Out may be the answer for you and your 2 and 1/2 to 5 year old. PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE MESSAGE TO FIND OUT ABOUT A NEW MOTHERS DAY OUT PROGRAM IN YOUR AREA. We at The Little Rose Cottage are excited to tell you about our new adventure. We have divided the building into two separate sections. In the front rooms and outside building we continue to run the Rose Cottage Children’s Resale and we will now be accepting some items on consignment paying 70%. In the back section, we have opened two classrooms for The Little Rose Cottage Mothers Day Out program along with a full playground. We are located at 10744 Braun Road. That is 2 miles outside of 1604 on Braun or one block inside 1560 on Braun. Mother’s Day Out is held Tuesday and/or Thursday 10 am TO 2:30pm beginning January 5, for ages 2 ½ to 5 (Children must be fully potty trained). Its $20 a day for 4 and 1/2 hours. There is a registration fee and a small supply fee quarterly. This is not a drop off., you must be registered and bring your child weekly either one or two days. January may seem far away but our 8 to 10 slots per room are filling up fast. To hold a spot you would need to come by and register. This week would be great because we are having an OPEN HOUSE November 10 to November 14 between 11 and 3 so you and your child can see our rooms, our playground and meet our teachers. Mother’s Day Out is a great way for moms to get out one or two days a week while your child gets to have fun, create and learn in a safe, friendly environment. I am Teresa Lilly. the director. I am a teacher with life certification in elementary education, in special education for all grades and as a reading specialist. I also taught in Mothers Day Out programs for five years and was the director of one MDO program for a year. I home schooled my children for thirteen years and taught classes in several home school coops. I write curriculum for public and private schools as well as author kids books and women’s Christian fiction. Our teachers Miss Shera and Miss Jill have had experience working with children in a variety of places such as daycare and church. They are excited to begin working with your children starting January 5th. Our program will focus on fun and basic learning. If your child stays with us for two years on Tuesdays, they will be introduced to all the letters of the alphabet and will be given the opportunity to do hands on activities and crafts that highlight these letters. If your child attends on Thursdays we will work with numbers, shapes, seasons and holidays. We will have inside play time and the toys will change each week and we will have outside play on our playground. We will offer table fun time to include work with patterns, wood puzzles, play doh, shaving cream, stampin ups etc. There will also be a quiet book time after lunch and a daily story time. Mother’s Day Out will follow the school year calendar for holidays, however we do not stop for the summer, we will go through the second week of August, taking two weeks off and beginning again in September. Although we are starting January 5th, we will have a new enrollment for next September starting in March. We have a handbook for you to read and sign and there are medical forms and other information that you will need to get filled out by a doctor and signed when you register.
