OSOSO RENAISSANCE ASSEMBLY (ORA) ADDRESS TO: The President Movement For The Emancipation Of Ososo In Politics (MEOP). Ososo, Akoko-Edo A LETTER TO THE MOVEMENT FOR THE EMANCIPATION OF OSOSO IN POLITICS (MEOP) It was with great delight that we read about the Movement for the Emancipation of Ososo in Politics on the social media as a political pressure group to assist in realizing Ososo Political Statutes as a sine qua-non to our development as a people. Recently, we read on the net of a well intended advertorial captioned, “2015: Lets Start Shopping For Credible Candidates” by the well meaning Board of Trustees of the MEOP. The subject matter of the said publication is a timely and clarion call to one and all. We must commend the BOT for the courage in taking the initiative by calling on industrious and patriotic citizens of Ososo, to run for an elective position in Akoko-Edo L.G.A We do align ourselves with the opinion of MEOP regarding the state and fate of the Ososo Nation today. A critical evaluation of the condition of the Ososo Nation now usually reveals indices of a people exploited, marginalized and held down from socio-economic and Political development. With respect to the advertorial by MEOP, we therefore use this opportunity to put a clarion call on our distinguished son, Mr Emmanuel Agbaje to COME, CONTEST and SERVE our people in the forthcoming HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ELECTION in Edo State Emma Agbaje as we all know, is a passionate and committed Ososorian who is very conscious of the unacceptable condition of the Ososo Nation and always ready to galvanize the our people on to the path of political revivalism and relevance. The Ososo people need to keep alive the struggle for self re-invention so that we can take among the front seat in the scheme of the Akoko-Edo project. Our people will agree with us that in time of great exigency, there is always a compelling need to look for men of courage and conviction. Men who have shown commitment. Men who have the passion to serve to help to redeem a condition that seemed lost. It is for this reason that we join in the clamor for Emmanuel Agbaje to please join the race for the Edo State House of Assembly. We also enjoin the MEOP as a body; All Ososo Sons and Daughters to join in this onerous task of bringing Emma Agbaje to go to the House of Assembly. We have done an appraisal of the political calculations in Akoko-Edo come 2015 and discovered that the House of Assembly will likely be zoned and Ososo stand the brightest of chance to get the slot. We also have done an appraisal of what it takes to make a good honorable member vis a vis the pedigree of all those jostling for the seat at the moment. Being a Honorable member is about quality representation that is similar to advocacy for our people in the highest law making body in the state. The HOA is a place of serious political business where political astuteness and experience , discretion , intellectual rIgor, courage , elocution , vision , grasp of local, National and International issues, acceptability and connection count. For a people to get quality representation and the dividends of democracy , their HOA member must have all of the above qualities . We must say that all the qualities above and more are blended in Emma Agbaje. We must also comment on his passion for philanthropic gestures. This passion is what has made him consistent on the political scene for a while now . The same person made him put himself up to establish the Ososo Tourist Carnival, the finding its kind in Edo State and environ . In all this, he was never faint –hearted. He remained focused and determined to help Ososo realize her full potentiality. Other factors also stand him in good stead as the one Ososo should send to the HOA. His Age makes him a bridge between the young and the old, his vast network of influential politician in Ososo today in the likes of Hon Dave Jegede, Hon (Mrs) Helen Akpabio, Hon (Mrs) Annena Jemitola- Ojo, Hon Joe Adeleye and even with members of MEOP as led by their able Executives etc. Emmanuel Agbaje remains the most consistent and committed politician in Ososo today who can do the legislative job in Benin. The Movement for the Emancipation of Ososo in Politics (MEOP) should adopt him and ensure that he is the one that should go there to give us quality representation and bring development to us.
