OUR POSITION Globally, monumental edifice such as Ibom Stadium Complex are named after men of honour who have change the course of history and impacted positively on the people. That is why we have Calabar Stadium named after U. J. Esuene, Ibagwa Barrack named after Wellington Bassey, Lagos Airport after Murtala Muhammed, Abuja Airport after Nnamdi Azikiwe, etc. It is on this note that we request that the new edifice in the state, the Ibom Stadium Complex should be name after the architect of Uncommon Transformation, Chief Godswill Akpabio. Hence, I hereby move a motion that the new stadium should henceforth be called and addressed as GODSWILL AKPABIO INTERNATIONAL STADIUM, UYO. Those in favour of the motion should say Aye and those against say Nay. The Aye have it.
