OUTREACH.... What does this word mean to me, a combination of three things really,Serving,Evangelism and most of all Love God calls us all to serve one another selflessly, it wasnt a selfish act when Jesus came to earth to Serve us by Showing the Grace, Mercy and Forgiveness that God has for us, He spread this message far and wide, a message we still share this very day. And to the ultimate act he Died on the Cross to take away our sins. He calls us to gain true knowledge of his love and learn from what he taught us from the cross to go and first become Disciples and then go out and make Disciples of the people of this world, thus spreading the Good News, Evangelizing and bring God to the unsaved and lost. Of all these ,one word which is Strong here is LOVE, Love God, and love one another .Sharing our Time,Talent,and Treasures with each other, for all these are gifts to be given away,not stored up, for all things here on earth are temporary, but for all given away while doing these while serving others is the Love God asks you to share. Outreach doesnt exists for just for those outside our church, Outreach is an act of kindness given to all, as we are first to become disciples We are first to serve each other before we serve those we dont know, have you ever experienced someone humbling themselves enough to bathe your feet,or to bathe someone elses feet ,have you given someone a ride somewhere without even the thought of repayment,or purchased someones meal? How did it make you feel, did you feel the Holy Spirit dance in your soul.what a wonderful feeling. I have always seen myself as a servant, I long to serve others, I see this as a gift given to me by God, a gift I want to share with you, my Prayer is you come to share this same feeling. Here are some examples of serving unconditionally At ages 3,4,5.there are no boundaries in serving others other than their parents and when they serve they do this with the pure enjoyment of seeing others happy ..As for us we can learn from this, Our Father will never be a boundary to us while we serve, He will Wait, Watch, and be Pleased ,for what we do in his name is done in LOVE.
