Obis Rant - Independence for Nevis is the ONLY solution!! Nevisians you are angry this morning as you rightfully should be!! But what you going to do with that anger, just grumble for a bit and do nothing? Taking out your money out the bank is doing nothing concrete in my book not when yesterday over 1800 Nevisian Civil Servants and by extension ALL Nevisians were embarrassed, insulted, kicked in the face, bread taken out of their mouths and treated like Neewis Booboos. Yesterday Nevisians livelihood was threatened as they couldn’t pay bills, buy food or look after their families. Yesterday our very dignity as Nevisians were attacked by a Kittitian own bank name National Bank. Yesterday the bank which is ultimately controlled by the government and Prime Minister Denzil Douglas of St. Kitts decided to punished Nevisians and not pay Nevisians their salaries after a long month of working. By the way did you know this was done to Nevisians in 1980s but specifically in 1987 as a young teacher I and many more Civil Servants who were forced to worked for 4 long months from September to December without pay because the then PAM government under the Kennedy Simmonds refuse to help Nevisians get paid through that same National Bank because he was willfully spiting and punishing Nevisians? Now nearly 30 yrs later in 2014 Nevis it’s still at the mercy of politicians in St. Kitts who want to spite Nevisians and yesterday it was done under the Douglas Labour government. So as I say over and over again it matters NOT who is in government in St. Kitts or whatever coalition whether Labour/UPP in the 60s, PAM/NRP in 80s, Labour/NRP in the millennium or that silly construct with Labour rejects and PAM losers aka UNITY (they make me hate the word and all, this is first time I have ever even type it since they came out with that nonsense), sooner or later Nevisians will be spite and embarrassed. History has shown this over and over and over again…and as Marcus Gavey say if a people don’t learn from their history they are bound to repeat it and yesterday History repeated itself in Nevis. Our politicians have no respect or regard for history so they need to be schooled so let Obi give them a short history lesson now. In the 1960s Denzil Douglas Godfather finny han Robert Bradshaw railed against Nevisians promised to give Nevisians “Bones in their rice and Pepper in their Soup”. He indirectly delivered on that promised in the 1970s when through absolute negligence and incompetence his government cause the sinking of Christena killing over 200 Nevisians (it’s not me who say so it’s the then British Commission of Inquiry into the Christena disaster concluded that). In the 1980s PAM begged Nevisians to join up with them then those dirty son-of-a-guns turned around and spite Nevisians doing the very same thing Denzil Douglas did yesterday punishing Nevisians by withholding their paychecks for months upon months. Four months myself and many civil servants didn’t get pay and you think Kennedy Simmonds was satisfied with that, oh nooo he went one step further and tried to starve Nevisians by stopping the flour boat (our main food staple) from coming to Nevis (by the way many of the same players from the Simmonds administration is behind this UNITY crap they floating around). In the 1990s a newly elected Labour man Denzil Douglas with his Bradshaw mentality went after Nevis again and tried to steal our financial services sector, you see in his mind Neewis Boobooo aint suppose to have nothing but then Premier Amory said hell no which cause the secession referendum in 1998 which only failed because sellout political jokers like Walcott Parry told his people over in St Thomas’ to vote NO. But one thing though this secession referendum cause the Kittitians politicians to back off for a while (it’s amazing how bullies back off when you respond seriously uh?). Now yesterday April 23rd 2014 a day that will go down in the annals of total disrespect Nevisians face in this unholy union, yet again history repeated itself and we were disrespected yet again. Nevisians, Secession is the ONLY solution; everything else is a complete and absolute waste of time!! Nevisians don’t let those gullible politicians fool you. Listen to Obi he has never lead you all wrong yet. Going forward tell these politicians, if they are not talking about the way forward to Independence you don’t want to hear it. Pulling your money from the bank does absolutely nothing to correct the situation because Neviaisn are still in the same colonialist situation where politicians in St. Kitts can pull this crap on us again. It’s time for decisive action. Again I say if they not talking about going toward Nevis Independence don’t listen to them. I am sure you all realize the only thing I am talking about is secession not no dam foolishness about Unity or coalition. How many times must I say it over and over again uh? How many times must Obi prove himself right to you all and have to say ah bin tell aryou so? Tell them I say to grow some testicular fortitude and set a date for the referendum or at the very least set the process in motion. You NRPians have to join the cause for Nevis because your families who work in the Civil Service were disrespected too. It’s time for us to go so no one can embarrass us anymore.
