October 5 – Day 57 Justina stayed with Joyce today so I could finish up things needed at the house. Justina said for the most part Joyce was relaxing today with some agitation but we think it is because of sitting in that bed. So the doctor authorized for her to sit in the chair. Justina said she sat as long as she could and told her she was ready to get back into the bed. There has been some discussion today about her trach. She is coughing up nicely and they are going to look into if it is still needed. She would still get nutrition from her feeding tube. This would be a major progression for her and would stop another thing that agitate her. This way she would not be pulling at her mask and trach. Let’s pray to God that she is healthy enough and has progressed enough to have that done. If this happens then I think her facility list will open up since she would not need trach care but just her therapies. This is really a major hurdle when finding a facility is one that offers trach care. Continue to pray and send positive thoughts so that things continue to progress and that God keeps putting his loving hands on Joyce to heal her.
