#Oculus target #Sony in warning of motion sickness. Weve all heard the news about virtual reality coming to #gaming but were still a good few years from its debut. Currently we know of three major companies currently developing ways and means of introducing the technology to the market, #Sony, Oculus and #Samsung but only one of them has a primary focus on the tech. Oculus. #ProjectMorpheus is Sonys contribution to this circle which will see the #PS4 become the first console platform to delve into VR. And while Oculus and Sony will ultimately be competing for market space, that hasnt stopped Oculus offering some advice. Speaking at the Web Summit conference in Ireland this morning, Oculus founder Brendan Iribe had this to say: Were really looking forward to this as an industry that takes off, Iribe said. A number of companies will come in, even companies we havent heard of yet two or three or five years down the road. At the same time were a little worried about some of the bigger companies putting out product that isnt quite ready. That elephant in the room is disorientation and motion sickness. Now, there is no mention of Sony in that quote granted, and the wording is generic enough so that we can assume he is talking about a multitude of companies. However given that Samsung have chosen to work in direct partnership with Oculus, that only leaves the direction to be point toward Sony and Project Morpheus.
