Ode to the Venus-Neptune Square We fall in love for many why-s, - TopicsExpress

Ode to the Venus-Neptune Square We fall in love for many why-s, Sometimes a promise, sometimes a ring, Sometimes a shadow of a man you saw in a dream, The promise in loving eyes that gleam. Whispering. Such sweet sounds of our deepest desires. That unfurls even the shyest flower, Yet we whisper to ourselves, not the Other. Oh that sweet promise of redemption, of Divine Love, of Perfect Union. Our whispers croon this love is real, necessary, true As pure as the first snowflake atop a mountain, Nothing can compare - no sonnet, no poem - nothing would dare! Swallowing you whole in this tight, breathless embrace. A moment of vulnerability, ecstasy, transcendental union, Only to find, with no warning, Emptiness. Vanished~ Without a Trace! Tossed like a ragdoll in the wind, After hours of sitting in place, playing house with a frozen face, Whispers telling you to sit still, What if? If only? Maybe? Behave! Tossed once the bubble is burst, the veil fallen, And then nakedness. The Sweet Nectar gone. Then pain, then suffering, then tears, then cleansing, the raw woundedness and then the healing, sometimes rage and righteous bearing. Karma has a hand to play, as does Choice, Fate decrees the lesson must be learnt, But at the end of the day it returns - That dawning realization, That burning question. Did we ever love them, anyway? Goodbye. ~ Bairavee Balasubramaniam, PhD
