The Father cannot forgive our sins if we dont forgive other people (see Matthew 6: 14, 15). Sow forgiveness toward others and receive forgiveness from God. There are many benefits when we forgive; such as, you feel better emotionally and physically. It also prevent serious diseases from developing as a result of the stress and pressure from bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness. Unforgiveness block your communion with God and showing love toward others because you want someone to repay you for the unjust that was done to you. If you let go, God promised to pay us back for our former trouble if we turn the situation over to Him. If we dont can we are allowing saying to perpetuate our pain. 2 Corinthians 2:10, 11 forgiveness prevent satan from getting advantage over us. And Ephesians 4:26, 27 tell us to not let the Sun go down and we are angry Ill give the devil any such foothold against us. Remember if the devil get a foothold then a stronghold will develop. So be quick to forgive when you are offended to prevent you from getting trapped by satan bait; giving him the right to torment you.
