Officer Adam Meeks family benefit will be held on October 6, 2013. A benefit dinner and live auction will be held at the Fremont Moose located at 2051 W. Toledo St. The dinner will be beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, vegetable, and roll for $6.00. Dinner starts at 1:00 and will be served until 6:00pm. A live auction will begin at 3:00 pm. Officer Meeks is a husband and father to three boys. He volunteers his time and his knowledge to the Fremont Youth League also. The injuries Meeks suffered are from the accident that nearly took his life on August 24,2013, while responding to a 911 call. With Officer Meeks being a reserve volunteer he does not receive pay for servicing our community. His full time daily job does not have disability pay, therefore, the next 6-9 months he will be without any pay. Because of the need for ongoing medical treatment, requirements to pay his own health insurance and supporting his family we are asking the community to assist us with this benefit by inviting the public along with family and friends to join us in raising money to help the Meeks family.
