Officer in Charge of Construction MCI EAST disestablished 6 MAY after a five year mission executing construction activities onboard MCB Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. 1,314 construction contracts worth over $3 billion were constructed including the execution of a $400 million Wallace Creek Regimental Complex, a $258 million Marine Special Operations Command complex, hangers and supporting infrastructure to support 2 MV-22 Osprey squadrons, and multiple other large scale base improvements. The projects directly strengthened Marine Corps combat readiness through an unprecedented expansion in facilities support. OICC MCI East is now ROICC Camp Lejeune and will continue to provide service to the bases Grow the Force efforts, with 40 active military construction projects today and several new ones to award here at these two installations, as they continue to build upon the work that has taken place here over the last six years.
