If you refer to a pharmacist as a non medical worker, he frowns at it and see it as insultive but he gleefully associate himself with cleaners, porters and administrative staff of the hospital if that will add vigour to his desire to fight his perceived arch-enemy (the doctors). Will a cleaner or porter ever rise to CONHESS 9 let alone skipping 10? , how will admin staffs benefit from consultancy status or multiplicity of directorate?. Why cant PSN and MLSN fight individually in their delusion of grandiosity. Its all about mischief!!!! Government shouldnt have allowed a group of health workers to constitute itself as opposition to the other since healthcare delivery is a teamwork. APC will never see anything good in PDP. This dichotomy may be beneficial in other climes but not in health sector cos some people will argue that after all theres ASUU and NASUU, judicial and non judicial staff, combatant and non combatant etc. If NASUU does not agitate for the position of VC, why should JOHESU treasonously aspire to take the throne of CMD. Even medical doctors who are generals in the army will never dream of becoming the Chief of Army staff or Chief of Defence Staff, because here, they are support staff just like JOHESU.Even medical doctors who are in d army cant rise above Brigadier or worst Major.Gen. We know our levels, likewise others too should know theirs . Anyway, the good side of the coin is that this tussle will lead to increased pay for both parties because they will eventually settle for give - and - take where one allows some of the prayer of the other to be granted to achieve some of his own but unfortunately its the patient that pays the ultimate price.
