Oh, I forgot to mention... once the shellac varnish is dried and cured, the long arduous polishing process begins. It will take at least 3 days of steady rubbing and buffing to bring out the final finish and color. Then, I reattach and glue it to the body. For final assembly it will go back to the shop to be refitted with new pegs, and restrung with new strings. At that time it will be tested by one of the shop workers to see how it plays and sounds. The repairs are sound and strong and the color isnt perfect, but is pleasing to look at... it will be, my first violin. I am planning on building one from scratch. I have plans coming in to help with that goal. Going to work in about an hour. Have a great day all!!!
