Oh dear! Patience required for a $25 loan. This is an update on your loan to Terencia in Philippines. Dear Kiva Lender, You are receiving this message because you have made a loan to a borrower at CEVI, one of Kivas Field Partners in the Philippines. We wanted to let you know that CEVI is unable to report repayments this month, meaning that your loans will be marked as delinquent. On Friday November 8, 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan made its way through Southeast Asia, causing substantial damage to homes and businesses in many areas of the Philippines. The CEVI head office in Bohol, as well as many of its branches were heavily impacted by the storm. CEVI staff are working hard to deliver relief to borrowers and assess the damage. Over the coming weeks, they will determine which borrowers were unaffected and will be able to repay loans, which borrowers will need to restructure loans so that they have adequate time to recover and which loans will need to be forgiven. Once these assessments are complete, we will alert you to the status of your loans. We appreciate your patience during this time of crisis. The Kiva team is staying in close contact with our Field Partners in the Philippines and will be sharing updates from the field in this blog: More information >> Best wishes, The Kiva Team
