Oh man. That was horrible. I told yall about being warned about hunting season and staying out of the woods. So today I stuck to the main roads, which run, well, through the woods. I wore my blaze-orange vest, but I heard gun shots up in the woods as I ran along the road. After the adrenaline started flowing, I started really psyching myself out, thinking about the fact that every pick-up truck I may come upon would likely be filled with men and guns. I thought I was gonna cry. But, those who know me know that when threatened, I refuse to back down. So what did I do? I kept on going. My longest run yet, four miles. At one point, a large doe ran into the road and stopped and stared at me, spooked. Get away from me! I shouted. I want no part of being anywhere near a deer this week. Sorry sis, youre on your own. I came home to a nice big pot of turkey soup, and, call me crazy, but I just might go again tomorrow.
