Oh yeah, facebook. Sorry, but Ive been tied up with the podcast and working a bit so by the time I get around to posting, Ive covered pretty much everything I have on my mind. But today everything went to hell in a hurry when it came time to do the podcast. Everythings been working fine and suddenly I start to record and nothing wants to work. Then I realize I cant tell anyone Im having technical problems because nothings working. Its funny because if youre working on the air and the station gets knocked off for some reason, people will call to ask if you know youre not off the air, you let them know youre aware and invariably a couple of people will ask why you dont announce that. Same idea. But I voted today and realized that after being inundated with political advertising since summer, there were very few candidates to choose from whos ads Ive seen. For those outside of the Cincinnati area or those geographically challenged, Cincinnati is across the river from Kentucky, so weve been bombarded with the McConnell/Grimes campaign ads. With no exaggeration, Id see or hear 20 per day, often more. But I cant vote in Kentucky. Ive seen only a handful of ads for Kasich for Governor, none for his opponent Fitzgerald. My sitting congressman is Steve Chabot and I dont recall seeing or hearing anything for him or his opponent whos name escapes me. There were a handful of judgeships up for grabs and if there were ten races to choose from, I only saw or heard ads for two of them. John Boehner advertised but Im not in his district. Bottom line - they need to pick up the pace on political ads. How else can we know which ones the scummiest? If I figure out my tech issues, therell be a podcast tomorrow - which if you dont know - is at mikemcconnellshow or through itunes and the app. Ill work Wednesday for Bill Cunningham from 12p - 3p est, then for Jim Scott on Friday 5a - 9a est an Saturday 3p - 6p est. Damn Im busy.
