Ok FB Family Im doing a little research. (Not cruise or travel related.) ======================================================= How many of you over the age of 48 remember being on the Free/Reduced Lunch program in GRADE SCHOOL or Middle School? How many of you remember working in the cafeteria, lunch room or other area of the school for your lunch. Of course as a child you may not have been aware that you were actually WORKING for your meals. (In the guise of kitchen helper or kitchen aide or office aide, etc) ========================================================== The reason Im asking is because, for the past few yrs there has been controversy (on capitol hill) regarding children receiving free/reduced lunches nowadays working for their meals & Im just trying to see where people stand on this issue. Ive talked to several other Okies (Older than myself) that also remember working for their meals. Im trying to figure out if this was an Okie thing or a Perry thing or if other cities & states had this Work-Lunch program. (I already know that the Free/Reduced lunch program was a national program...Trying to figure out the WORK part of the program...When did it start & end.)
